Whenever I am a guest in someone’s home, I gravitate to their bookshelf.

What are they curious about? What might be influencing their take on the external world? What might be shaping their internal dialogue? NPR journalist, Scott Simon, said it best: “Reading will put you into the minds and hearts of others.” Books have certainly helped me to better understand my students.
